Dunnottar Castle is located on a rocky outcrop along the Aberdeenshire Coastal Trail. The castle is perched atop a 160 foot rock and surrounded on three sides by the North Sea. Absolutely beautiful evocative cliff-top ruins that is so beautiful. It was so cod & windy when we were there but the amazing view was well with the drive from Aberdeen.
